Industrial Design | Brand Identity | UX / UI | Graphic Design | 3D Visualisation & Video
Majority Audio are a small consumer audio company based in Cambridge, UK. They are an e-commerce business that primarily sell Soundbars, DAB radios and headphones on marketplaces like Amazon, eBay and most recently on high street retailers websites.
The Role
Joining Majority Audio as the sole Industrial and Graphic designer, I was responsible for enhancing and accelerating brand identity, awareness and product portfolio. This involved working across a range of teams from social media and marketing to e-commerce, packaging and branding, as well as developing and designing new product ranges.
3D Visualisation
Software used: Solidworks, Keyshot, Adobe Suite
3D visualisation was used across Majority's e-commerce platform (Amazon and its Website), social media and for online retailers. to enhance and promote the brand. Rather than just being a radio and speaker company. I created lifestyle and abstract imagery to make the products stand out and relatable. Increasing conversion and interest in the brand.
Photography & Video Editing
Along with 3D rendering images and video I also took part in the creation of photo and video shoots to promote the product ranges. Working with third-party filmmakers.
Packaging Design & Sustainability
Sustainability was an important part for the progression of the brand. As Majority are reliant on e-commerce platforms and overseas manufacturing it was vital to improve the companies image and carbon footprint. Below are concept visuals of packaging eliminating the need for plastic and foam inserts, glue binding and laminating.
This minimalist, transparent and eco approach would help to elevate the brand enabling it to compete with some of the bigger names in the market.
Graphics & Branding
Working alongside web developers, I was involved in the refresh and modernisation of the website, enabling it to be more user friendly and engaging to existing and potential customers. As well as allowing purchasing and interaction through the site. This was done through new imagery, improving callouts and taking the updated brand guidelines and implementing it across the site.
